# 2.10 - Moderate Infraction

Moderate Infractions are violations that would be possibly considered threatening to the operation of the Department, disruptive to a department function, negligent towards the public, or major code of conduct violations. Investigation is conducted by, and punitive action is taken by the Deputys Unit commander/Supervisor. Moderate Infraction are utilized in the case of serious misconduct and may exert any or all of the punitive actions of field correction and:

* Suspension from all duty for a period no greater than seven days.
* Suspension from all unit/divisional duty for a period no greater than fourteen days.
* Revocation of any and/or all divisional certifications.
* Barring any transfer to another division (other than patrol) for a period no greater than thirty days.
* Removal from unit/division.
