The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office is organized into specialized divisions designed to ensure effective law enforcement operations, public safety, and community service across Blaine County. Each division operates under the authority of the Sheriff’s Office and is responsible for specific areas of policing, emergency response, and administrative support. The Patrol Division serves as the primary response unit for the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies assigned to this division are responsible for routine patrols, emergency response, traffic enforcement, and initial incident investigations. The Criminal Investigations Division is responsible for investigating serious and complex crimes. Detectives within CID conduct in-depth investigations, gather and analyze evidence, interview witnesses and suspects, and work closely with prosecutors to build cases for prosecution.
The Special Operations Division handles high-risk and specialized law enforcement functions. This includes tactical response operations, riot control, warrant service, and coordinated responses to critical incidents requiring enhanced resources and planning.
The K9 Unit provides specialized support in patrol operations, suspect tracking, narcotics detection, and search and rescue operations. K9 teams are deployed in both routine and high-risk situations to enhance operational effectiveness.
The Traffic Enforcement Unit is responsible for enforcing traffic laws, reducing roadway incidents, investigating vehicle collisions, and promoting safe driving practices throughout Blaine County.
The Marine Unit is responsible for law enforcement and safety operations on waterways within Blaine County. This includes patrol, rescue operations, and ensuring safe recreational and commercial water activity.
The Public Information Office manages communication between the Sheriff’s Office and the public. This division provides timely updates, media coordination, public safety information, and community outreach initiatives to ensure transparency and trust.
This division oversees recruitment, training, policy compliance, and professional development within the Sheriff’s Office. It ensures all personnel meet required standards and maintain operational readiness.
